About Megadodo Recordings

Megadodo Recordings (MR) was launched in 2009 by Rich and Steve, founding members of psy/rock/groovy-electro band Hoopy Frood. The band was looking for a vehicle to release their latest work as well as other material collected over the five years they have been working together.

The Froods first album “Pyschonaut” was released by Amboworld in 2005. This quirky piece of work sold in numerous countries around the world and subsequently sold out of hard copies. This was also the album that drew in the other most excellent members of the band who now share in the writing, recording, performing and tea making duties.

Hoopy Frood’s second album, Indigo, will be the first release from this label with the help of Triskele Management. Both digital and hard copy sales will be available in early summer ’09.

MR wants to support and promote independent and imaginative music. MR can design album artwork, logos, provide sound engineering services and occasional session musician work.
